Microsoft Excell is an ideal platform for Rapid Application Development (RAD) of bridge and civil engineer applications. Most engineers have Excell on thier computers and they are familiar with using the program. When standard Excell functionality is combined with the programming power of Visual Basic for Applications, virtually any type of program can be developed.

Reinforced Concrete Beam with Bottom Reinforcement (RCB-BR) .
RCB-Rectangular solves for the allowable design moment and related variables for a reinforced concrete beam in accordance to the AASHTO Bridge Design Manual (16th Edition). The worksheets are password protected and all calculations show the accompanying equations as illustrated in the AASSHTO Bridge Design manual. A custom chart draws the beam cross section to confirm data input.
